Hello, everyone. How are you?

Today, I briefly played the demo of Princess Peach: Showtime! just to try it. And I want to share a tip with you. When you enter a level for the first time, after you transform into one of the roles that fit a play's theme, you can get tutorials by using the X button.

I hope this will help you when the actual game comes out.

Good luck!

Hello, everyone. How are you?

Let's say I have to take a hiatus from the Centre du Nouvel-Envol (a special school for adults located in my hometown, Salaberry-de-Valleyfield) for a time, for my father doesn't trust my younger brother to look after him after a surgery.

In fact, my father had a bariatric surgery yesterday, and he needs not only medicines, but also some help to recover. I have to stay home for (maybe) at least a week, because he doesn't trust my younger brother to look after him. In fact, my brother, Xavier, would instead spend his time doing whatever he pleases playing his computer games and not taking his responsibilities. Because of that, I have to sacrifice days of school for my dad's sake.

I hope things will go well...especially for him.

Hello, everyone. How are you?

Well, I already wrote it in a status, but I must sadly announce that my paternal grandmother passed away yesterday morning. I forgot to tell you about all the predicaments that I had to deal with lately. After three cancers in which she managed to get rid of in the past, a fourth, this time fiercer, was what would end her life. After spending months at our house under ours and some nurses' care, we had to put her in a palliative care facility in Hudson, a town in the province of Quebec, Canada (Canada is the country where I was born, where I grew up and where I live, in case you don't know. But I don't live in Hudson).

Last Thursday, she was in a serious delirium, and the medical staff had to put her in a comatose to calm her down. My father, my brother and I went to see her last Saturday. I was able to say a few things to my grandmother despite her slumber, wanting her to keep in mind that she'll always be in our hearts. The next day, on the day of my brother's birthday, my father went to see her alone in the morning. Finally, on Monday...it was the last time I saw her alive. My brother and father were able to tell her the last words that they had to give her, and I said more of what I wanted to tell her too.

Yesterday morning, my grandmother let out her very last breath...in the presence of one of my paternal uncles. Very difficult loss, but she has stopped suffering. That's why the title of this journal entry is "Moments of mourning..."

I already lost my maternal grandmother when I was 20 years old, but the loss of my paternal grandmother was my most recent one. Whenever I hear or utter the way I call her, I want to let tears run down my cheeks and cry. It hurts me to lose a relative close to my heart, but I must learn to be stronger in spirit, and life must go on.

The funeral will take place next week, on Friday 29th July 2022. I have kept a black dress that I wore during previous funerals, and I'm planning to wear it again for this sad ceremony.

May my paternal grandmother's spirit be taken in by God, reuniting with those of her own mother, her husband (my paternal grandfather that I have never known), my surrogate grandfather and all the people who are close to her heart. 😔

If anyone among you reads this journal entry and is willing to give me their condolences, I will be very grateful.

22nd June 2022

Hello, everyone. How are you?

Oh well...here's an order of who in my house got sick with that Covid-19.

Myself, who first got a sore throat on 8th June, got horribly sick on 9th June, and then tested positive on 10th June 2022.

My grandmother, who was tested positive at the hospital.

My younger brother.

And finally, my father, who, despite being vaccinated thrice, who has suffered more than most of us.

I hope everyone will recover as soon as possible. That coronavirus sure is dangerous, isn't it?

17th June 2022

Hello, everyone. How are you?

I've recovered from the Covid-19. But now, it was my younger brother's turn to get sick with that disease. He was tested positive yesterday.

16th June 2022

Hello, everyone. How are you?

I hope no one caught that coronavirus because...well, Thursday 8th June, I got terribly sick and I needed not only rest, but also water and medicines. The next day, my mother advised me to use a test to see if I got the Covid-19. I used it and...OH NO!!! It was positive! I really didn't want to catch it, but I never thought that I'd do despite being so careful. However, I don't how how I caught it.

I only wanted to protect my family, especially my grandmother, who is now put to comfort care due to another cancer and awfully confused - mainly because of the medicines that she has to take. Unfortunately, the latter wanted me to do chores (like doing laundry) and to help her to do things for her like making her bed. Because of her current mental state, I felt like she was ignoring my condition. At some point, she thought that I was pouting, but the truth is that I was too sick to do whatever she wanted me to do for her.

One day, my father stayed most of the time upstairs (where my bedroom is) and came to my grandmother's aid whenever she needed. Sadly, last Monday, my grandmother had to be taken to the hospital in the morning, and she was tested positive there. I felt really guilty for that, but my father told me that I'm not necessarily responsible.

Fortunately, I was vaccinated thrice, so I didn't have the most severe symptoms. I'm still recovering, and I hope to become fully healthy as soon as possible.

That's why I said that I hope no one caught that coronavirus. It's still causing a lot of trouble to everyone around the world, so I wish you to continue being extremely careful.

May God be with you.

Hello, everyone! How are you?

I have been thinking about the poeple who wished there was a Pokémon Sword & Shield: The Series instead of Pokémon Journeys: The Series. I wonder who would have wanted the former instead...to see more of the Galar region, the Gym Challenge, new Pokémon, etc.

That's why I intend to start a fan story/comic set in an alternate continuity, which is more faithful to the Pokémon Sword and Shield games, but still holds differences. In order to ask for your help, I started using polls. I'll also add reasons for each.

Reason

The truth is, like some people who watched the Darkest Day Arc of Pokémon Journeys, I felt it rushed and lacking depth. I also felt that we need to see more of the Galar region. I even saw a forum on Bulbagarden Forums where people discuss about if they would have preferred a Sword and Shield series or not.

So I was wondering if you'd like to see a story adapted more faithfully to Pokémon Sword and Shield, while also adding some differences such as dealing with Team Rocket whenever they attack and others things.

Reason

Like some people, I also wanted to see Gloria as a traveling companion in Galar. She received one vote in this poll, but I'd like to know how many wanted her to be in the story. If she gets more votes, I'd confirm she would be in the story.

However, I don't want Gloria and Ash to be alone in their journey. I've been thinking to add at least two additional protagonists, as well. Rivals and Gym Leaders would not be included, unfortunately...

Reason

I understand the lack of depth during the Darkest Day arc of Pokémon Journeys, as well as other bad things during Pokémon Sword and Shield's climax. There are a lot of things missings, including investigating the fifth tapestry and the Hero's Bath in Circhester, and Sonia's mention of the literatures from foreign regions. This is why I'll bring more depth in my fan story/comic.

Furthermore, before the Darkest Day arc of the anime came, I noticed speculations from people that Giovanni (the leader of Team Rocket) would be the one to start the Darkest Day, in other websites. This did not happen during the actual arc, since Chairman Rose is the one to do so and become insane. Oleana's role is not exactly the same in the anime compared to the one she had in the games; in the anime, she has a more antagonistic role as evidenced when she battled Goh in an attempt to stop him. In the games, she actually begs the player to stop Chairman Rose instead of antagonizing them.

If you think that there are too much nonsenses in the Darkest Day arc of both the games and the anime, I think so too. That's why I want to make things much clearer. I also want to give my fan story/comic a more "proper" main antagonist that Ash and his friends must defeat, especially during the climax of the story.

More would be coming soon...

Here are some ideas and information I have in my mind, but that I'm not sure if it would work. Here are the differences and similarities between Pokémon Journeys: The Series and the fan story/comic.

Differences:

  • The story fully takes place the Galar region.

  • Ash wears a different outfit with a pair of fingerless gloves in this continuity.

  • Ash participates in the Gym Challenge instead of the World Coronation Series after being endorsed. His uniform number is 314.

  • Mentions of the World Coronation Series are made in this story. Unlike Pokémon Journeys, it is for people aged from 15 and older.

  • In this story/comic, Gloria appears as one of Ash’s traveling companions in Galar. Additionally, she is the one who gets Sobble (as her starter Pokémon).

  • In this continuity, she is a shy and soft-spoken, yet kind and caring girl with a British accent. She initially starts her journey to meet new places but has a hidden talent.

  • Zacian and Zamazenta have the ability to communicate through telepathy, even as illusions.

  • In this continuity, the research on the Galarian legends is more expanded than in Pokémon Journeys.

  • The Rocket Prize Master is omitted in this continuity. Instead, Jessie and James take back some of their Pokémon and catch their own Galarian ones.

  • Jessie keeps Wobbuffet (obviously) and takes back her Gourgeist. Additionally, she catches an Impidimp after he mischievously caused trouble to her.

  • James takes back his Inkay and catches a Flapple.

  • The Team Rocket G-Max Terrors, Raven, Basalt, Ferno and Poise, are introduced.

  • Unlike the recurring trio, they do not aim to steal Ash's Pikachu. Instead, their main mission is to study the Dynamax phenomenon and to find the true cause of the Darkest Day. Additionally, their introduction is much darker than the trio’s, concluding theirs with a “Surrender or we’ll completely destroy you!”. Each specializes in a specific type, has at least one Pokémon capable of Gigantamaxing and is a polar opposite to at least one of the protagonists.

  • Raven (age 16) specializes in Flying type and has a Corviknight. She is one of Ash's two polar opposites.

  • Basalt (age 17) specializes in Rock type and has a Drednaw. His opposite is Gloria.

  • Ferno (age 22) specializes in Fire type and has a Centiskorch.

  • Poise (age 19) specializes in Poison type and has a Low Key Form Toxtricity.

  • There is a running gag in this story, in which Ash and his friends, as well as Hop, have to show and lead Leon to the right directions.

  • Oleana is not an antagonist in this continuity. Instead, she is a supporting character with a strong dislike of Team Rocket.

Similarities:

  • Ash also obtains a Dynamax Band in this continuity.

I also add differences and similarities between the fan story/comic and the games.

Differences:

  • Gloria is watering the flowers and her mother’s two Budew (much to their happiness) when Hop invites her to meet Leon.

  • Gloria does not acquire a Dynamax Band until later in the story.

  • To give Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl’s impact to the story, Dawn and Cynthia appear as major supporting characters and allies. Both join Ash and his friends in the battle against the Darkest Day.

Similarities

  • Ash and Hop get endorsed by Leon, allowing them to take part in the Gym Challenge.

  • Ash has friendly rivalries with Hop and Marnie, and has an unfriendly one with Bede.
